During the rainy season, they used to get a lot of water inside of their house. Before, they were living at Teresa’s mother house but Santos made the effort of building a house made out of mud and bamboo so they could all live together.

They used second hand materials to build the house, so with the time it has been deteriorating.

It’s difficult for them to go out of their community to a different place, because there’s only one car that works 3 times a week (that’s the only means of transportation for them).

“I feel happy because I know the new house will be better, it has good materials so my family and I won’t have to worry about getting wet during the rainy season, we also won’t have to take shelter from the rain at my mother in law’s house”.
